MSR

Company: Cascade Designs
UX/UI: 16TOADS INTERACTIVE

In mid 2014, shortly after relocating to Seattle, I was brought on by premier outdoor products manufacturer, Cascade Designs, to take the reigns as their senior User Experience and User Interface designer. I was tasked with initially helping them build upon and improve a newly launched web site sporting a design I didn't have a hand in designing ... Enter the challenge - Working with immediate constraints. My role expanded to exciting new projects and eventually to working with every brand under Cascade Designs product umbrella - MSR, Therm-a-Rest, Platypus, SealLine, PackTowl, Hummingbird, and eCase.

The three projects I've selected to showcase my work with MSR represents the most creatively exciting and technically advanced work Cascade has ever done online.

MSR WINDBURNER STOVE

MSR wanted to do something special for the launch of their most anticipated product this decade: The Windburner Stove. Working hand-in-hand with MSR's stupendously talented copywriter and content wizard, Ms. Adrienne Schofhauser, we pulled out all the stops to create an interactive story experience that utilized everything from parallax to text animations to graphic animations to user-activated animations to video.

My role included: Concepting, Art Direction, Storyboarding, Wireframing, UX and UI design, Graphic design, Animation design and mechanics, and project management. We also brought on the developer who made the magic happen.
