Scotland - Addendum

A month has passed since our trip.

I would have a hard time not placing Scotland on top of my list for "friendliest people anywhere" and for "most beautiful country". There is something magical about a place where people believe in Faeries, protect their environment and national historic treasures, and take living seriously enough to understand life is something to be enjoyed - this from a people whose social and political history has been shaped by endless warfare.

Since my return I have received emails from our wedding planner, Yvonne, our B&B hosts thanking us for our stays, an email from David (subject line:"oops we had a wreck"), and an email from Ian (guy on the airplane) expressing regret because we weren't able to take him up on his tour-guide offer.

Scotland really is a magical place.
