I hereby coin the Acronym and Term: "(SADD) Societal Attention Deficit Disorder".
SADD - Societal Attention Deficit Disorder
Is a chronic disorder characterized by a persistent pattern of ennui and inattention among a population of people, with or without a component of (internet) social networking, often resulting in general intellectual banality and characterized by the dissolution of language.SADD is classified as a Social Internet Disorder, Lazy Behavior Disorder, and a Cognitive Deficiency Disorder.
Acronym and Term Coined:
SADD - Societal Attention Deficit Disorder was coined by Paul R. Burton (16toads Design). So sayeth Google, which revealed no other instances of the term prior to April 15, 2009. Now all I have to do is get it into the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.
