The Vile Plutocrat

The Vile Plutocrat is an internal project that grew out of populist anger over the stench of the Madoff Ponzi scheme and the ensuing media tsunami exposing the unabashed greed of corporate America and corruption at every level of our government during the waining months of 2008. It is a newspaper style site that aggregates news from across the media spectrum in an effort to assure that the people responsible for defrauding the American public are not lost in the 24-hour news cycle.

The Vile Plutcrat has a single purpose: To keep track of those individuals whose implacable greed poisons the societies that made them wealthy.

We are proud to have been honored with numerous awards and accolades for our work on The Vile Plutocrat, but none more so than the 2010 SXSW Web Award we took home for the Blog category. We also received two awards of Merit at the 2010 One Show rubbing shoulders with five global giants of the advertising industry. 16toads was also the smallest design studio recognized for any award at the 2010 Atlanta Addy's and only one of three entries recognized for excellence in the Interactive Web Design, HTML category.
